Regions Bank
US-based Regions Bank, which has a wealth management operation, has appointed former Clara Green as head of diversity and inclusion.
Green will lead the Diversity and Inclusion Center of Expertise in Regions’ human resources group and report to Dave Keenan, head of human resources.
Prior to joining Regions, she worked for General Electric for 20 years, most recently as diversity and inclusion leader for GE Power, a 60,000 employee global organization.
Rockerfeller Capital Management
US-based wealth manager Rockefeller Capital Management has appointed Michael Outlaw as a managing director.
He is responsible for recruiting and managing wealth advisors in the eastern US. In his new role, Outlaw will open Rockefeller Capital Management’s Atlanta office and will be responsible for leading the firm’s growth strategy across the region.
Outlaw joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was the complex manager for Atlanta Buckhead and led private wealth management for the Southeast region.
He joined Morgan Stanley in 1996 as a financial advisor. He held a number of roles during his 22-year tenure.
BlueMountain Capital Management
BlueMountain Capital Management, a US private diversified alternative asset management firm, has appointed Scott Troeller as a portfolio manager to source, evaluate, and execute infrastructure-related private investments, with an initial focus on energy, environmental, and telecommunications infrastructure in North America.
In the newly-created position, Troeller will report to Andrew Feldstein, co-founder and chief investment officer. Troeller will be BlueMountain’s first senior investment professional to focus exclusively upon infrastructure.
Troeller joins from Fir Tree Partners, where he was a managing director and focused on private equity investments.
Baird
Baird, employee-owned wealth management firm,has hired The Smith Group to its Charlotte office located at 4350 Congress Street, Suite 400.
The team is led by financial advisor H B Smith, managing director. He is joined by assistant financial advisor Daniel Bryant. Smith brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to Baird.
Baird's Private Wealth Management business encompasses approximately 860 financial advisors serving clients through 94 locations in 30 states, and has client assets of $136 billion.
Clifford Chance
Global law firm Clifford Chance has appointed Victor Levy as a corporate partner in its private funds group in New York.
Levy started his career at Clifford Chance, where he focused on private funds and structured credit vehicles, and was with the firm for nearly nine years. He rejoins from DLA Piper, where he was made partner in 2015.
He has experience representing fund sponsors in structuring and establishing private equity funds focused on a variety of alternative investment strategies, including performing and distressed debt and loan origination. He also has experience advising sponsors in establishing managed accounts and funds of one. He advises both large, established managers sponsoring new funds, as well as high-quality emerging managers sponsoring first-time funds, to invest in US and non-US markets.
